The Faculty

Adan Alcala started playing the drums at the young age of nine in 2003.  Since then, he has grown a deep love and passion not only for the drums but for music as a whole.  A Roosevelt High School alumni, Adan studied under George Ramirez for four years and was exposed to an array of latin and jazz style drumming. A current student at Fresno State in pursuance of a Performance degree, Adan has been principal drummer for the Jazz Orchestra lead by Dr. Alan Durst as well as the Jazztet lead by Richard Giddens. Most recently, Adan served as the core drummer for Stage Works Fresno's "The Who's Tommy" as well as Ramesh Maraj's Bollywood Glitz concert held in the Paul Shaghoian Conert Hall at Clovis North which was also published in the Fresno Bee.
